Trowell Church Hall Trowell Church Building Cossall Community Hall
Trowell Church Hall
The Trowell Church Hall is situated on the A609 Nottingham to Ilkeston Road, near to the fishing tackle shop. It is maintained and run by the Parochial Church Council for the benefit of the residents of the parish. The hall is an asset to the village as it is not as large as the Parish Hall and so can accommodate smaller groups and societies. It is extensively used by church groups and many other groups belonging to the village. There is a fair sized grass area for games. Parking is available in front and rear, though the rear area may be in use for playgroup and so the gated access is usually kept locked during the day. Accessible facilities include level access throughout, and a loop system in the main hall room.
The Church Hall main room has capacity for approximately 100 persons. There is an equipped kitchen, which is available for hot drinks preparation, though users must have current health and hygiene certification for cooking.
The Annex has a capacity of approximately 40 persons. There are kettles and cups available in the entrance lobby.
There are some toilets available to the users of both rooms in the main room rear entrance lobby (but not wheelchair accessible. The other bookable sites here are more suitable).
The hiring fees are reasonable but we do not allow late night bookings, alcohol or gambling and we do not have a music licence.
Here is a list of current regular bookings during term time.

The St Helens Trowell Church building is situated at the junction of the A609 Nottingham to Ilkeston Road and the A6007 Stapleford road.
The church building has capacity for maximum 150 persons. Limited parking is available on the roads outside. There is also disabled parking on Nottingham road for a maximum of three cars (as the red car in the picture).
Accessible facilities include a toilet (and baby changing) room, level access throughout, and a loop system throughout the nave and chancel.
There is a modern audio/visual system, and the church is licensed for music. Note that no bar facilities are available. There is also a small hot drinks servery.
The building is obviously in regular use: Wednesday and Sunday mornings and evenings for church services. Then there are other church meetings, weddings and funerals, which can sometimes be at short notice.Inside Trowell Church

Cossall Community Hall
Cossall Community Hall
Cossall Community Hall is an excellent facility available to hire. It was refurbished in 2017 and for many years served as the Old School Room for the village. It is situated at the side of Church Lane near to the church.
The restoration and upgrade now provides users with a good, clean and warm environment to hold a variety of functions. As part of the refurbishment a multifunctional lighting system has been installed so that the hall can be lit in a number of ways.
The kitchen is positioned within the new extension, which has helped to make more space within the body of the hall. There there is all the usual equipment to allow you to cater for parties of up to 50 people seated at tables and approximately 70 in buffet style.
The toilet and storage area is part of the extension and the toilet is fully accessible.
Cossall Community Hall - Old School Room is jointly managed by a group of people drawn from Cossall Parochial Church Council, the Cossall Parish Council and a local charity Cossall Community Chest. Members of the group are responsible for managing the bookings, making sure the building is looked after by users and kept clean and tidy for others to enjoy.
