I have spent 20 years in sales which has been split equality in the I T industry and financial sector. My role in sales has exposed me to varying social groups and has instilled in me a good level of communication skills. I am single and moved into Ilkeston about 9 years ago from Toton. I am currently in my final academic year at The University of Derby where I have been studying for a BSc in Counselling Psychology.
For a number of years I have helped out at a Youth Group at Nottingham Road Methodist Church Ilkeston: it's a lively Youth Club that has been recognised for its work in the community by Erewash Council. In addition to this I have done volunteer work for Victim Support and for a Derby based organisation called Disability Direct: it is here that I have ran a singing and song writing workshop for teenagers with learning problems. I have also been involved in support work with The Christian Centre Stapleford now known as The Haven with a young offenders centre in Stapleford.
I have a passion for people that the Lord has put into my heart and I'm looking forward to working with the Youth in Trowell. God has moved in amazing ways in my life and has led to experience and see different countries, cultures and groups first hand. God laid down a path I'm now on to transfer my skills in selling to wanting to help others.
